Larson prenatal screen

The Perth District Health Unit is required as part of the Healthy Babies Healthy Children program to implement a universal prenatal screen – the Larson Screen.

The Larson Screen is used by physicians, midwives, nurses and other healthcare providers to identify families at risk for difficulties in the postpartum period.

Women who score "at risk" are referred to the Perth District Health Unit for an assessment and appropriate supports.
