Emotional Development in Children
Children feel happy, sad and angry. In fact, children experience all sorts of emotions. One of the tasks of growing up is learning how to deal with such a large array of feelings. Children usually have a hard time understanding their emotions since they lack the cognitive and intellectual development at this young age to describe these feelings.
Children cannot learn to do this by themselves. They need guidance to help them recognize what they are feeling, the source of their feelings and how they can deal with them.
