Perth County Influenza Pandemic Plan
The Perth County Influenza Pandemic Plan is prepared by the Perth Emergency Planning for Health Care Group. The Plan details how the health and municipal sectors in Perth County will respond during an influenza pandemic. The plan is to ensure that we are ready and prepared to protect the public if and when an influenza pandemic arrives in Perth County.
The Pandemic Plan is a detailed response strategy. It covers areas such as communications, public health measures and surveillance. The Plan also outlines the roles and responsibilities for the different sectors involved in the response.
The Perth Emergency Planning for Healthcare Group (PEP) was formed in 2004 to prepare for a health emergency, in particular flu pandemic.
Perth County’s local pandemic plan is a companion document to the Ontario Health Plan for an Influenza Pandemic 2006, produced by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
