North Perth – Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is pleased to share that the dog being sought after a biting incident in Listowel on Saturday, November 5, 2022 has been located.

North Perth – Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is looking for a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 in Listowel.  The incident took place at the intersection of Boyne Avenue and Ann Street in Listowel.

The dog involved in the biting incident is described as a Dalmatian. At the time, it was being walked on a leash by an older male.

Huron Perth, ON - Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) has received confirmation of several cases of influenza A (flu) in children under the age of five. This is a noteworthy development because influenza testing is very limited so HPPH does not typically see this number of lab-confirmed cases of influenza in children this young.

Influenza season has also started several weeks earlier than usual in Huron Perth. Flu season typically begins in late November.

As anticipated, we are beginning to see a complicated season of respiratory illnesses. 

Influenza
  • Last week, Huron Perth Public Health received confirmation of the first case of influenza (flu) in a Huron County resident. The lab-confirmed result means that flu is circulating in Huron Perth. We have since received additional confirmation of influenza cases.

Huron Perth, ON - Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) has received confirmation of the first case of influenza (flu) in a Huron County resident. The lab-confirmed result means that flu is circulating in Huron Perth.
